Oia, A Place To Remember

 There are places around the world whose reputation is beyond any borders and language. But the reality is that not everything is equally worthy to this reputation. Santorini island has the name and the grace. When I first visited the island I remember two things that made a great impression on me. The first was the great disappointment I felt as soon as I arrived at the port. Watching the tall black rock rising like a huge wall, I said that if the introduction is so bad, the rest of the content may not be as amazing as they say. And here the second thing that impressed me makes its entry. That yes the introduction was unfortunate but the main issue is amazing.

I still close my eyes and dream of Oia, the caldera and the unique view. It is worth staying in this place even for a weekend. It's not just the famous sunset and white houses and hotels. It is not just the view that takes your breath away. It is the combination of all these. Everything is very simple but also so beautiful that the end result is unsurpassed.

The tourist shops with souvenirs and clothes have things of exceptional quality, items that you will find in the biggest boutiques in the world. Restaurants and taverns offer delicacies inspired by local recipes as well as international cuisine and some of them are also award-winning. Local ingredients such as tomatoes and wine are in abundance and the hotels are probably  the most beautiful you can find in your whole life. Luxury and simplicity, hospitality and privacy, fun and relaxation, everything becomes one in this place.

The oia hotels are quite expensive but the price in relation to the quality they offer is honest. In this place one will walk among famous actors, writers, singers and princes and will see perhaps the most beautiful people from all over the nations and in all ages. Make a gift to yourself and give him this unique holiday memory that only Oia can experience.
